The Wadena-Deer Creek School Board consists of six elected community members and the Superintendent. The Board is responsible for governing and leading the school district to provide for equitable education for all students.

2024 School Board Election

A total of five people have filed in the Independent School District No. 2155 (Wadena-Deer Creek) School Board election set for this fall.

The terms of Dan Lawson, Kent Schmidt and Barb Tumberg will expire on December 31, 2024.

All three incumbents are running for re-election. Amanda Schmidt and Kyle Lehmkuhl have also filed.

School board members serve four-year terms. The school board and general election will be held on Tuesday, November 5.

School Board Meetings

School Board meetings are typically held the third Monday of each month in the Robertson Theatre at 5:30 p.m. Exceptions are noted in the schedule below. Agendas are posted within three days of an upcoming meeting. Minutes will be posted following Board approval.
